Jason Blake Architecture

Jason Blake Architecture is an architectural practice established in 2000.  The practice provides a full scope of service including design, construction, project management, as well as, the design and making of bespoke furniture and objects.

We undertake projects on all type of residential buildings including detached houses, terraces, semi-detached houses, and apartments.  Residential projects include new family homes, alterations and additions, and adaptive reuse, renovation and restoration of heritage buildings.

The practice has also undertaken commercial projects such as small boutique hotels, bars, restaurants, art gallery spaces and medical practices.

The majority of our projects are located in Sydney ranging in value from $100,000 to $8 million.

Our practice provides a personalised service to our clients with a focus on developing a design that meets design excellence, customer needs and budget, without compromising sustainable design principles.  The practice designs and builds to ensure that buildings and spaces are comfortable, responsive to site and the surrounding environment and efficient to operate and maintain over time.  All projects start with a client brief to ensure that the client receives the best design advice and response.

Our projects have received architectural and industry awards and featured in publications and TV programs.  The practice was short listed Bar of Year, Australia New Zealand Eat Drink Design Awards 2014 for A Chip off the Old Block Bar (Chippendale) and received the Archicentre State Managers Award in 2000, and Archicentre Renovation of the Year in 2009. The practice has also contributed regularly to the Grand Designs Expo and HIA Home Show.

JBA Constuct Pty Ltd

JBA Construct was established in 2011 to provide a further service to our Architectural clients, providing a full scope of service from design to construction.  The company manages the entire construction process from tendering, material ordering, sub-contractor appointment, and site supervision.  The company has delivered commercial and residential projects.

Our NSW Contractor Licence Number is 279906C.

woodness..

woodness.. produces handcrafted joinery, furniture and objects.  A passion for making and using natural and often repurposed/recycled/reclaimed materials such as timber and metals has produced custom lighting features, shelving, tables, beds & display units, windows & doors, and many other hand made pieces.

The three aspects of our practice are collocated at our Marrickville studio and workshop.
